The Devils Game - Flex India Team

It was jyoti's idea to start a devil's game which is contrary to the angel's game. You have to pick a name from the lot of flex india team members and you will become a "Secret Devil" of that person. So what do you do devlish? anything devlish will do as long as the person doesnt catch you... Once you are caught, you are out of the game... - Look at the pranks that went on so far- Its a great fun going on in the team apart from our busy schedules....

"Secret Angel Game Ends..."

This has been one of my favorite games. I have enjoyed this while i was at Digital think for the first time playing it and now... i just loved it... Leave alone the gifts that were presented to whom i was angel for, i really loved the company / sharing the crazy ideas among our group... shikha, sameer, ajit, rani.. sala nisheet, its not his cup of tea. So what did i do for the last few days? Wanna know checkout !

Day 1 -

I started at night 11:10 pm to office ! Chill climate, i was fully covered with jerkin! I really enjoyed my drive to office.. i just raced so fast :) I had some ideas as to how i should decorate / destroy the cube of the person to whom i am angel for... But since the game is for fun, i thought lets make it interesting from day 1... I got some decorative ribbons from MKM Ahmed bazaar, Jayanagar 9th Block along with the gifts i got to share each day... I started to decorate the cube -




   And I left this gift on Day 1 -



Day 2 and Day 3 - [Weekends]

  It was a saturday... I came to office gym at morning 8:45 am and started to do some more warm up in terms of giving gifts... I left some gifts on Saturday ! I left some more on Sunday while i came to gym around the same time. On Saturday, i left a glassy stuff.. A Glass holder which holds a set of flowers (not this one but sort of this one only).. On Sunday, i left a gift where two cutie kids - A Boy and a girl are trying to play together :) [dont have the pick for it though.. Selected it in last minute and didnt take the photo though] I got flowers but i dropped them in not to select in the last minute as they werent looking that good !! Well, on Sunday i did try to do something different - I made a pile of glasses (see pic below.. Thanks to ajit for his devils idea turned out to be angels idea).. I did crash it couple of times ! :(






Day 4 -

I got a timer gift ... A Sand flowing timer which keeps flowing in slowly !.. I did add a note - "Measure your time..." and i got a reply - "Measured the time accurately"... :)



Day 5 -

Today is the last day... I am supposed to reveal myself as an angel to the person but i choose to not do it.. I just want to play a real angel game.. I gave enough clues to figure out who i am and if the person is not so sharp then i better remain as an angel... I really enjoyed the game.. The thrill and the fun part of it was truly awesome...  I wrote again - "Hope you enjoyed the Game !! Happy Christmas, Happy New year 2008 ~ Angel"..



On the other side of mine was a story too.. Some was also giving me gifts secretly... I got the following Gifts - Day 1 - A Pack of Nutties (Chocoloates), Day 2 - A Scenic photo-frame, Day 3- A Key chain with lord shiva on it, Day 4 -  A Small greeting card wishing me for the upcoming new year ! I loved them all....





I really enjoyed this game wholesome :) Thank you adobe and ESCAPEE Comittee for such sweet game ! :)

"From your Angel" - XMas Gifts Game @ Adobe

December month is the shortest month of all the months @ Adobe. We have an annual shutdown for close to about 10 days of which 5-6 days of PTO will be cut from all the employees world-wide. Christmas celebs start at office in its own way. This time, its about Angel gifting another person sorta game. Enroll for the game, pick a chit (you can select what you want if you know Sahana, the cood).. You will be a secret angel for some one whose name you have picked up from the lot, and you will have to keep giving gifts to the person without that person noticing you... The other person will keep guessing who are you untill Dec 17th... The thrill kicked off.. And i just returned from Sameer's Bday lunch treat and found my first gift on the dec which got over in no-time.

A Pack of nutties... Its nice to give gifts and get gifts :) I could guess from the kind of gifts that i am getting that its a guy who hates to spend money ! dont know much about females too :) I choose to play the game in my own style and got a set of small gifts make some-one happy... I like the game and i still remember playing it in my first company - "Digital Think, Hyderabad"... Where i got a desk watch which detects the temperature of the room as well. It was cute...

What will you do if you have 500 Crores of money now?

It’s a story of a person with whom I am travelling with in SL Class - Train from Bangalore to Kacheguda. This person is my co-passenger in the train. I really don’t know what he spoke was the truth but his words really woke me up from the middle of my deep sleep and my fingers started to type this.

I don’t know his name. Let me describe him and his lifestyle now.

He says he is an owner of some 500 crores of property. He has gone around the world and went through all the worldly pleasures in life. He has played with 500 crores, 5000 crores of money.  His life is full of principles. He is very clear and he believes that No human can take a penny with him when he dies. He says - "I eat roti and the normal gareeb person also eats roti. So having seen 5000 crores of money, do I eat sona (gold)? No. So why to look at a gareeb as gareeb….  I want to take tokers in life. I don’t want to live all the worldly pleasures all the while. I hate the AC now. I feel that AC is suffocating"....

He likes going by Sleeper class Train along with the gareeb. He sends his staff in flight while he takes an Indian train while in India. He loves fresh air. He was told oh phone that he will be sent a Mercedes benz car to pick him up from the railway station but he denies. He says, he would want to take an auto or a rickshaw so he can eat fresh air while going to his five star hotel (Tara). He says he owns Tara and Rajadhani hotels in Hyderabad. He eats just roti or at max a biryani.. who doesn’t eat those now a days… almost everyone does. He drived everyone around him including me spell-bounded. He sounded rash at many-times as he spoke to many people over the phone.  He feels happiness is only there in giving luxury to his family. Asking them to go by flight is a real pleasure for him. He kept his window seat opened for fresh air to touch him in the train.

He says he doesn’t care even if he had to travel for 24 hrs in train but he will prefer train journey.He ran many fashion shows in Bangalore, kerala etc. He doesnt believe in the richer. He feels richest are always bad at heart. He likes the common man (gareeb man). He also likes people who show respect towards a gareeb. A women who was in RAC was worried, he consoles her telling.. Just sleep amma, if someone comes there take my ticket, take my seat… just don’t bother about it… sleep well... Aaraam se...He ate a biryani.

Every one of us are earning for having a better life. What will you or me do when we have 500 Crores in hand !! Count the zeros in that??

Lets do some math now. Assuming you are going to earn say 1 lakh rupees after two years from now every month. (Very very optimistic, just assume you are employed at the best paying company now)…  So you will save 12 lakhs rupees every year. Say for 10 years it is 1.2 crore rupees. Say for 30 years, it will be 36 crore rupees + rotating interest on the money for your investments... compunded interest.. bla bla... When you turn to that period your age will be around 60 easily… so what the hell did you do in life? When are u making 500 crores in life? Is there a shortcut way of doing it? Many knows, many don’t know .. that’s about Life.

Moral of the story: Money cant bring everything in life, it can full-fill many of your desires but its about Happiness... you have to calculate on your happy times every day....

Crossing 10k Hits

So why do i blog ? What is the driving factor that pushed me to blog? Well ... its a product that i used to work for at adobe. Adobe Contribute has added support for composing, publishing rich blogging content to your blog servers. Since then i thought, let me start my own diary where i can write anything that i go through in my life. Well i choose the title "Those were the best days of my life"... be it happy or sad, you will find them all here. Aint it crazy? well yes, to many and no to some... Hmm... Well today my diary has crossed its 10k hits. Does it matter to me? well, yes. It gives me a lot of pleasure and happiness hearing if someone is actually reading whats happening on my portal ! You comment or not, you accept my opinion or not, you read it.. Thank you for bearing with me. Do i keep in mind some audience when i write an entry? No.. i just write what comes to my mind or when i come across somethings in life as i move on...

Bangalore weather...

Since past 15-20 days, the weather in bangalore has become so chill... It reminds me of the climate in our fully covered rooms of pilani where the temps used to be around 10 while running a room-heater...while the out-side temperature is running much below 10...  Its amazingly cold. Driving a bike without a helment in the evenings is hard time ! Waking up from the bed is a die-hard challenge. The razayi's keep you warm. Going out of house without a jerkin or sweater is really so tough... hmm.. i know what the US folks would be saying now.. but guys, we arent used to those climates all the year. But yes, its good weather :) chill-out guys...

Finding a Soul-Mate on Portals

I really dont believe the post subject. Have been trying out different ways to get a best match for my brother working at satyam hyd. Huh... i thought technology would work to the best. I had spent 1590 and registered for a premium account which is valid for 3 months. I saw a few interesting profiles though ! But when i saw the equivalent male profiles, i understood that every other guy in my community is in US doing some or the other stuff... And no wonder, may females are actually looking for US matches! Thats crazy but yes, thats what even their parents believe... B.Tech has become such a common degree now a days that a female who completed B.Tech is bound to find a mate who is atleast MS and working in US... I know its just these portals that are having such match points. There are thousands of un-known best matches happening around the communities and may not be just coz of these portals... Not sure, but i certainly feel... The Hi-Tech methodology is applicable to hi-tech searchies only !! (i hope u got what i mean...)...Certainly finding a soul-mate is the toughest job for any one...Wishing you good luck in finding yours !

Another Wonderful Weekend

Last weekend went just so fast. Before i could realize that i was going through my happy weekend i ended it so fast. Friday evening went out to eat mirchi bajji at 9th block circle... umm yummy... Then shopped for groceries, late night chatting.... Saturday morning... woke up at 10 am... Senthil called me and connected me to Abhay (roommate who went to US).. Thanks to oracle to allow conference calls :) Abhay spoke to me about all his deeds and hurdles - probably you can write an article on it ? may be... A person who has never been on flight so far has chased it all changing four flights Bangalore, Dubai, New york, Minneapolis, Waterloo... All his deeds were so interesting to hear... Got call from anniah.. booked movie ticket for HappyDays in Forum... Rushed fast.. me fayaz anniah and his cousin went... i had already seen the movie but seeing it in theater is a thrill in itself. Enjoyed the movie and came back home... watched cricket for sometime... Then tried playing cards but it was boring (yeah same old wine)... We thought we will go for an evening walk.. so walked to Reliance wellness, levis, reebok, adidas showrooms... walked back home with some stuff :) Cook came on and he made chicken curry... yummy.. then we started... talked till night about bitsian days and went to bed... sunday went passed just so fast.. i cant even think how fast it was... Overall, this was the real fast weekend for me... Its sweet... Its nice... I enjoyed it...
